Shii congratulates Ecuadorian president-elect Correa

Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo sent on December 4 the following message to Rafael Correa, congratulating him on his election as Ecuador's president :

Please accept our heartfelt congratulations on your election as president.

Your victory is a great contribution to the new movement for political change for economic democratization and independence from U.S. dominance, which is spreading across Latin America. We hope that the government you lead will achieve important results in the struggle to defend peace and promote new politics in the interests of people's rights and livelihoods.
