Shii meets with China's Tsinghua University professor

Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo at the JCP head office on December 11 met with Dr. Hu Angang, the director of the Center for China Study and professor of Public Policy & Management at Tsinghua University of China, who is visiting Japan to conduct joint research with Japanese universities.

Asked by the professor, Shii explained how the JCP has developed its views on the world and on a future society that its new Party Program holds. Referring to the widening social gap and increasing poverty in Japan, he also explained about the JCP policy of democratic remaking Japan.

Hu showed a flier calling for opposition to a bill to adversely revise the Fundamental Law of Education which he had obtained in Japan.

Shii pointed out that the bill is to instill patriotism in children, and said that JCP members are actively taking part in the movement to oppose its passage across the country.
