Koike attends Tunisian ruling party congress
Japanese Communist Party Standing Executive Committee member Koike Akira attended the 5th Congress of Tunisiafs ruling Constitutional Democratic Rally (RCD) in Tunis from July 31 to August 1.
When he arrived at the Tunis Airport on July 29, he met with the Consular Affairs Director General of the Tunisian Foreign Ministry, Abderrahmen Ben Mansour.
Koike is the second JCP official after Fuwa Tetsuzo in 2003, then JCP Chair, to attend the RCD Congress.
About 170 foreign guests from 92 political parties, including the JCP, attended the RCD 5th Congress along with about 4,000 domestic delegates.
Koike delivered a message from the JCP Executive Committee to the RCD. - Akahata, July 31-August 1, 2008
