Shii mourns the death of ex-South Korean President Roh Moo-Hyun Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on May 27 visited the South Korean Embassy in Tokyo to offer his condolences on the death of former South Korean President Roh Moo-Hyun. Shii signed the book of condolences, offered flowers and incense, and made a bow to a portrait of the deceased. Shii said to South Korean Ambassador to Japan Kwon Chul-Hyun, "I felt shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden death of the former president. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and to the people of South Korea." - Akahata, May 28, 2009 |
