Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on March 11 had talks with Li Chengren, executive vice-president of the Chinese Association for International Understanding, at the JCP head office. Expressing his pleasure to be reunited with Ogata, who was his counterpart in their effort to normalize relations between the Communist Party of China and the JCP in 1998, Li expressed his determination to contribute to further developing the relationship between the two parties as well as the two nations. Ogata responded by saying that he is happy to see that theoretical exchanges and other interactions have taken place between the two parties during the 12 years since the normalization of their relations. * * * On the same day, Ogata also met with Colombian Ambassador Patricia Cardenas at the Colombian Embassy in Tokyo. |
