Use of 3.4% in corporate internal reserves can create 157,000 jobs
As of March, 87,000 university graduating students still have no job lined up, but using only 3.4 percent in corporate internal funds of 11 trillion yen amassed over the past year alone can create 157,000 jobs for new graduates. JCP Dietmember Kasai Akira demanded that the government encourage large corporations to increase the number of new recruits.

US subcritical nuclear test contradicts Obama’s call for nuclear free world: Shii
“I strongly protest against the test. What the U.S. government must do is to take effective actions to keep its promise made to the international community to seek a nuclear free world,” said JCP Chair Shii Kazuo on October 14.

JCP demands gov’t put a stop to JAL’s radical layoffs
JCP parliamentarians on October 14 called on the government to instruct Japan Airlines (JAL) to immediately cancel its coercive layoff plan. They also demanded a JAL restructuring plan that gives top priority to aviation safety and to the maintenance of public interests as a transport company.
