U.S. military helicopters have repeatedly had window-drop accidents in Japan, including a window from a U.S. Army UH-60 helicopter of the U.S. Camp Zama (Kanagawa Pref.) that fell onto a private forest near Mt. Fuji on February 9, 2016 and a U.S. Marines CH-53E of the U.S. Futenma air base (Okinawa Pref.) which dropped an 8kg-metal window onto the schoolyard of a public elementary school where about 60 pupils were having PE classes on December 13, 2017.
