Japanese Communist Party member of the House of Councilors Yamazoe Taku attended a French National Day reception held at the French ambassador's residence on July 14 to celebrate Bastille Day, a major event in the French Revolution.

Yamazoe offered his congratulations to and had conversations with French Ambassador to Japan Philippe Setton.
