Yamazoe talks with Egyptian ambassador
Japanese Communist Party member of the House of Councilors Yamazoe Taku on November 8 visited the Egyptian Embassy in Tokyo and held talks with Ambassador Mohamed Abubakr regarding the JCP statement titled, “Stop genocide in Gaza – a call on governments concerned to work for a halt to military attacks and an immediate ceasefire in Gaza,” which was published on November 6.
The ambassador explained his government’s position regarding this issue.
Yamazoe expressed his respect for efforts made by Egypt to adopt the UNGA resolution calling for a humanitarian truce, and introduced the JCP’s efforts regarding this matter.
Inoue meets with Iranian ambassador
Japanese Communist Party member of the House of Councilors Inoue Satoshi on November 10 at the Iranian Embassy in Tokyo exchanged with Deputy Ambassador Ahmad Rajabi views regarding the JCP statement titled, “Stop genocide in Gaza – a call on governments concerned to work for a halt to military attacks and an immediate ceasefire in Gaza”.
The deputy ambassador outlined the relation between the history of the Palestine issue and the ongoing Gaza crisis.
Explaining the JCP’s position, Inoue said that the JCP urges the Japanese government to play a proactive role from a humanitarian perspective and criticize Israel’s attacks on Gaza as a flagrant breach of international law.
