Japanese Communist Party member of the House or Representatives Kasai Akira, who is visiting NYC, on November 27 handed the JCP petition to the presiding president of the 2nd Meeting of States Parties (2MSP) to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), Juan Ramon de la Fuente Ramirez (Mexico).

After the Opening Session, Kasai greeted the 2MSP president and said, “I really hope that the 2nd TPNW meeting will achieve a great success.”

The Mexican Ambassador to the UN in response expressed his appreciation and said that he will carefully read the JCP document.
