Three U.S. military helicopters made an emergency landing on a riverbed in Wakayama’s Hashimoto City on July 28.

The incident happened at around 8:50 a.m. on the day. It is reported that the three U.S. military aircraft left the riverbed by noon, heading for the U.S. Marine Corps Iwakuni Base in Yamaguchi Prefecture.

Japanese Communist Party member of the Hashimoto City Assembly Takamoto Katsuji is now gathering information regarding the emergency landing on the riverbed.
