Japanese Communist Party Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi on July 8 took part in a reception commemorating Egypt’s National Day held at the Ambassador’s residence in the Egyptian Embassy in Tokyo.
The reception was also a farewell party for Ambassador Walid Mahmoud Abdelnasser.
Ichida expressed his appreciation for the ambassador’s three-year service in Japan as well as his participation in the World Conference against A & H Bombs.
He also told the ambassador that he hopes to see further developments in the ongoing political reform in Egypt as well as the nation’s contribution to the Non-Aligned Movement.
