Japanese Communist Party Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi on February 9 visited the Japan Committee for UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund) and delivered seven million yen which JCP members and supporters have donated for quake-stricken Haiti.

Japan Committee for UNICEF Executive Director Hayami Ken thanked the JCP for its effort to collect donations, and promised that disaster funds will be used to aid the Haitians, including orphaned and separated children.
