Japan’s unemployment rate reached 5.2 percent in November, up 0.1 percent from October. The rate has increased for the first time in the last four months.
Among them, about 1.14 million people, 490,000 more than 12 months ago, became jobless because they were dismissed or their employers declared bankruptcy. Between October 2008 and March 2010, 250,291 non-regular workers have lost or are expected to lose their jobs.
