The Democratic Youth League of Japan (DYLJ) held its 45th Congress. DYLJ Chair Nishikawa Ryuhei said that the league has brought in 1,276 new members through its campaign calling for a turn away from neoliberal policies.
JCP Vice Chair Tamura Tomoko in her interpellation at the Upper House plenary session took up the issue of the Kishida government's "wage boost" policy under "a new form of capitalism."
JCP Chair Shii Kazuo in his interpellation urged Prime Minister Kishida to drastically reformulate the 2021 supplementary budget draft in order to support the recovery of people’s livelihoods and businesses severely impacted by the pandemic.
