The JCP and three other opposition parties agreed to push the ruling parties to hold thorough discussions regarding new Cabinet policies at both chambers’ plenary and budget committee meetings.
JCP EC Chair Tamura announced a policy titled “Let’s work together to expand workers’ free time by reducing working hours in tandem with wage increases.” In this policy, she proposed “a bill to promote shorter working hours to expand free time.”
JCP Secretariate Head Koike criticized newly-elected CDPJ President Noda for asserting during the presidential election campaign that “the national security-related legislation (aka. war laws) cannot be repealed immediately.”
