The JCP formulated a policy dealing with the shortage of physicians, which has become a serious social problem, in defense of local medical services.
“The denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is extremely important for the peace and security of Northeast Asia, including Japan, and for meeting the public wishes of Japan, the only nuclear-bombed country, for the elimination of nuclear weapons,” the JCP statement stated.
The JCP opted to not boycott deliberations and strongly protested about the ruling parties forcibly holding committee meetings and plenary sessions to pass the supplementary budget in violation of the Diet rule.
