JCP Chair Shii urged the prime minister to retract his remark denying coercion and clearly admit before the international community Japan’s historical responsibility over the wartime sex slavery issue.
“Mr. Kyuma fails to share the idea that the use of nuclear weapons must never be allowed. Since Mr. Abe has failed to show that he has a good judgment on this issue, his qualification as the prime minister of the atom-bombed nation is called into question,” said JCP Chair Shii.
The JCP Dietmembers group confirmed their policy to vote for a no-confidence motion against the Abe Cabinet.
