Ogata attends ALBA anniversary event
Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on December 22 attended an event held in Tokyo to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas (ALBA) and exchanged greetings with Latin American ambassadors who were present at the ceremony.
Five ambassadors of Latin America to Japan, including Cuba and Venezuela, hosted this celebration.
The ALBA is a regional group consisting of eleven Latin American and Caribbean nations promoting economic cooperation in the spirit of mutual support, collaboration, and friendship as a replacement for the market-first competitive logic.
Ogata meets with Cuban ambassador
Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on December 22 met with Cuban Ambassador to Japan Carlos Miguel Pereira at the Cuban Embassy in Tokyo.
Ogata and Pereira exchanged their views on the political situation in Japan and circumstances in the region surrounding the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
