Ogata talks to Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan
Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on April 24 held talks with Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Quoc Cuong at the JCP head office.
Ogata noted that JCP Chair Shii Kazuo had a fruitful meeting with Vietnamese Ambassador to the UN Nguyen Phuong Nga in New York City in March, just before the UN conference on a nuclear-weapons-ban treaty. Ogata expressed his gratitude to Cuong for his support for the meeting in NYC.
Cuong said in response that he will continue to work together with the JCP for the abolition of nuclear weapons.
The two also exchanged views on the present situation in Northeast Asia.
