Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on November 9 published a statement in protest against the Kan Cabinet’s decision to take part in negotiations for a Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement.
Shii said in the statement that although the government claims that joining the negotiations is to gather TPP-related information, the move is obviously aimed at bringing Japan into the multilateral free-trade agreement.
The JCP strongly calls on the government to recall the decision, Shii stressed.
