Shii expresses condolence on death of ex-Vietnamese PM Khai
Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on March 21 sent a telegram of condolence to the Communist Party of Vietnam on the death of former Vietnam Prime Minister Phan Van Khai.
In the telegram, Shii wrote that Khai promoted the Doi Moi policy and worked for the development of relations between Japan and Vietnam.
Ogata makes condolence visit to Vietnam Embassy on death of former Vietnamese PM
Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on March 22 visited the Vietnam Embassy in Tokyo and signed a condolence book on the passing of former Vietnam Prime Minister Phan Van Khai.
Expressing his condolences to Minister Nguyen Truong Son, Ogata said that he had on a few occasions met with the former prime minister. He went on to say that Khai played a key role in the construction of Vietnam after the 1947 revolution, especially in the promotion of the Doi Moi policy.
