With the Financial Service Agency's recent report which urges the general public to save at least 20 million yen for their retirement becoming a matter of public concern, the Kyodo survey shows that 74.3% of people are concerned about their financial resources in old age.
In the same survey, 63.8% said that they do not trust in the pension system.
In addition, the Cabinet approval rating has dropped in all media polls.
The approval rating for the Abe Cabinet was 47.6% in Kyodo News, 40%
in Mainichi Shimbun and 47.3% in Sankei FNN, decreasing from the previous 50.5%, 43% and 50.7%, respectively.
