Japanese Communist Party members of the Diet, including JCP Chair Shii Kazuo and Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi, have recently joined the Japan-South Korea Parliamentarians’ League.

The League was established in 1975 for the purpose of enhancing friendship between Japanese and South Korean parliamentarians, promoting mutual understanding and mutual amity between the two countries, and contributing to the security and prosperity of not only Japan and South Korea, but also the rest of Asia.

Since the establishment of the League, the JCP had long applied for membership in the League.
