Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on September 21 had talks with the Vietnam Communist Party’s delegation at the JCP head office in Tokyo.
The VCP delegation of eight members is headed by Tran Thi Bich Thuy, deputy chief of the VCP Department for Mass Mobilization Affairs. Both sides exchanged opinions on party activities attempting to strengthen ties with the general public.
Ogata said that he is happy to see that the two parties’ relationship, which started in the 1960s, has developed due to several recent events, including JCP Chair Shii Kazuo’s visit to Vietnam in 2007.
