North Korea launched two ballistic missiles early today in violation of the UN Security Council resolutions prohibiting North Korea from launching ballistic missiles and all activities related to its ballistic missile program. The JCP strongly condemns the latest North Korea’s action.
North Korea has publicly stated that it will "further strengthen its deterrence against nuclear war and develop the strongest military capability", and its ballistic missile launch is a military action linked to development of nuclear weapons.
The international community should unite to urge North Korea to cease and abandon its nuclear development programs and related activities threatening peace and security in Japan, East Asia, and beyond.
