Japanese Communist Party member of the House of Representatives Shii Kazuo on July 20 sent a message of condolence upon the death of Communist Party of Vietnam General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Shii expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family, the CPV, and the people of Vietnam.

Shii wrote that he strongly hopes the Doi Moi policies will continue to be successful. He expressed his hope for the continued development of the JCP-CPV friendship and an increase in friendly relations between the two countries and peoples.
