Opposition parties’ joint struggle formed in 2 districts in Iwate and JCP will ‘voluntarily’ support CDPJ candidates in 9 districts in Tokyo

October 16, 2024

Opposition parties will work together in 2 districts in Iwate

The Japanese Communist Party Iwate Prefectural Committee on October 14 signed an “agreement on common policies for the 2024 general election” for the joint struggle of opposition parties in the Iwate No. 2 and No.3 constituencies.

The JCP Iwate confirmed that it will “make utmost efforts” to achieve the victory of Constitutional Democratic Party candidates in the two districts.

The agreement states that based on a 34-point common policy agenda, constitutional opposition parties should work together to defend constitutionalism and people’s daily lives by further strengthening the joint struggle in Iwate between opposition parties and concerned citizens in order to put an end to LDP politics.

JCP will ‘voluntarily’ support CDPJ candidates in 9 districts in Tokyo
