Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on February 2 talked with Cuban Ambassador to Japan Jose Fernandez de Cossio and Counsellor Andrez Gonzales Ballester at the Cuban Embassy in Tokyo.
Ogata said that his visit to Cuba last December provided him with a chance to see with his own eyes the situation in the county.
Cossio stated that the Cuban government considers the visit an important opportunity for Ogata to directly observe the ongoing reform process in the country. The ambassador also talked about the First National Conference of the Cuban Communist Party and current developments in the reform process.
