Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on February 25 sent a condolence telegram to the funeral service for Seo Man Sul, chairman of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryun).
JCP Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi attended the funeral and offered flowers expressing his sympathy.
The condolence telegram Shii sent reads as follows:
Hearing of the passing of Chairman Seo Man Sul, I would like to extend my deepest sympathy. On behalf of the JCP, I convey our sympathy to the bereaved family and to all the people in Chongryun while wishing for peace in the Korean Peninsula and in East Asia as well as for normalization of relations between Japan and the DPRK.
