The Tokyo District Court on June 11 dismissed a case filed by Tokyo residents seeking a provisional injunction against the Self-Defense Forces’ ranger training exercise in Tokyo’s residential areas.
The residents claimed that they will suffer an infringement of their rights to live in peace when the training exercise is carried out.
In the training exercises, 30 fully armed troops will march through the streets in Tokyo’s Itabashi and Nerima Wards during the busy morning rush hours.
