Japanese Communist Party Diet Policy Commission Chair Kokuta Keiji on July 25 said, “The Diet should hold intensive discussions based on all the four investigation reports released in regard to the Fukushima disaster” at a press conference held in the Diet building.
With already-issued reports by the private sector, TEPCO, and the Diet, the government’s report (July 23) is the completion of a set of analyses on the nuclear accident at TEPCO’s Fukushima plant.
Pointing out that each report contains important information, Kokuta stated, “The Diet should call persons concerned in each investigative commission to give testimony in the Diet and respond to a growing national debate on what Japan should do in regard to nuclear power plants.”
