The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department on August 16 arrested a former U.S. military-attached civilian employee on suspicion of robbery resulting in injury.
The police said that the 26-year-old U.S. man, who used to work at the U.S. Yokota Air Base, assaulted a Japanese man in order to steal his bag at a coin-operated laundry in Fussa City in August last year. The suspect allegedly told the police that he was drunk and does not remember the incident.
