Last weekend, two U.S. Marines stationed in Okinawa were arrested on suspicion of assault.
Okinawa’s Naha police office arrested a U.S. Marine Corps corporal, 21, on suspicion of forcible indecency causing injury.
At about 4:30 a.m. of August 18, the corporal allegedly pulled a woman down and indecently assaulted her in a residential area of Naha City. The woman, in her forties, suffered an injury to her head and will take a week to recover.
On the next day, a 24-year-old marine was caught in the act of assault at a station platform in Kanagawa’s Yokohama City.
At around 6:30 a.m., the marine hit two young men and caused injuries, including broken nose, said the local police.
