The Naha Summery Court in Okinawa on December 14 imposed a fine on a U.S. marine for causing an accident while under the influence of alcohol.

Nathan Sales, a 35-year-old staff sergeant assigned to the U.S. Marine Corps Camp Kinser in Urasoe City, late November collided with three cars, injuring two citizens while driving under the influence of alcohol in Nakagusuku Village.

He had been arrested and indicted on suspicion of violating the Road Traffic Law.
