Japanese Communist Party Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi received Nepalese Ambassador to Japan Ganesh Yonzan Tamang at the JCP head office on April 8.
Ichida and Tamang exchanged views on the issue of global warming as well as the recent political developments in their respective countries.
The ambassador explained the present situation relating to the constituent assembly election scheduled for April 10 and environmental concerns Nepal has in connection with global warming, in particular, the Himalaya’s melting glaciers.
The ambassador expressed hope that Japan will take up the serious environmental concerns Nepal has today at the G8 Toyako Summit in July.
