On November 2, Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo at the JCP head office met with Binoy Viswom, India’s Kerala government Forests and Housing Minister and a member of the Communist Party of India (CPI).
Ogata visited India as part of a JCP delegation headed by Chair Shii Kazuo and held talks with the CPI leadership at its headquarters in New Delhi in December 2002. Recalling this experience, Ogata spoke about the development of the bilateral relations between the two parties.
Viswom spoke about the CPI congress to be held in March 2008.
They exchanged opinions about the recent conditions of the progressive Kerala state government as well as the political situation in Japan.
