Former Japanese Communist Party Chair Fuwa Tetsuzo and JCP Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo attended a reception held on September 20 in Tokyo for Wang Yi, the Chinese ambassador to Japan who is leaving his post.
Fuwa expressed his appreciation for Wang’s services in his three-year tenure by saying, “Japan-China relations were difficult when you assumed the office. I thank you for your service.” Wang in reply expressed his gratitude for the JCP’s cooperation.
Fuwa and Ogata enjoyed friendly exchanges with other participants.
