Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on December 17 attended a reception held in Tokyo by Kazakh Ambassador to Japan Akylbek A. Kamaldinov to mark the 18th anniversary of the independence of Kazakhstan.
Shii expressed his congratulations to the ambassador.
In a conversation with Ambassador Kamaldinov, Shii thanked the Kazakhstan embassy in Tokyo for helping to arrange the itinerary for his visit to Kazakhstan, including his participation in the 5th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) held in Astana, meetings with leaders of Nur Otan, Kazakh’s ruling party, and Kazakh’s foreign ministry officials, and a visit to the former Soviet Union’s Semipalatinsk nuclear test site.
Kamaldinov thanked Shii for his visit to Kazakhstan, saying that it was a very significant visit.
JCP Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo also attended the reception.
