Ogata in India meets with CPIM secretary general

Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on October 8 met with Communist Party of India (Marxist) Secretary General Prakash Karat at the party’s head office in New Delhi.
Ogata and Karat confirmed that the two parties will further develop their relations based on friendship and solidarity.
The two also exchanged information about domestic issues and their parties’ activities.
Ichida attends concert commemorating 75th anniversary of Japan-Venezuela relations

Japanese Communist Party Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi on October 10, by invitation of the Venezuelan Embassy in Tokyo, attended a concert commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Prior to the concert, Ichida exchanged greetings with Ambassador Seiko Ishikawa.
Ogata attends Spain’s National Day event

Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on October 11 attended a reception celebrating the Spanish National Day held at the ambassador’s official residence in Tokyo.
Ogata offered his congratulations to Ambassador Miguel Angel Navarro and had friendly talks with Japanese as well as foreign guests.
Ogata attends international meeting focusing on Gandhi

Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on October 4 attended a three-day international conference focusing on Gandhi in Indore in India.
The International Conference on Gandhi, Disarmament and Development was sponsored by Indian non-governmental organizations such as the Gandhi Peace Foundation with support from the national government.
The main theme of the conference was to share in this century the values and activities of Gandhi who is celebrated as the father of the Indian independence movement.
During the conference, Indian participants and delegates from several nations, including Japan, the United States, and Britain, exchanged views on various topics such as the development and cooperation between nations, the abolition of nuclear weapons, and peace in Asia.
