Osaka Governor Matsui Ichiro told reporters on November 1 that he will appeal against a court ruling ordering the prefectural government to reimburse foreign A-bomb survivors living in South Korea for medical expenses.
The governor initially expressed his intention to accept the judgment after the Osaka District Court passed it on October 24.
One of the plaintiffs criticized the governor for hurting all Hibakusha living abroad by taking the case to a higher court.
