Ogata attends Vietnamese Tet reception
Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on January 28 attended a reception to celebrate the Vietnamese Tet New Year hosted by Ambassador Doan Xuan Hung.
He congratulated the ambassador for the celebration of the Lunar New Year and had pleasant talks with other guests.
Ogata visited by Cuban ambassador
Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on January 31 received a visit by Cuban Ambassador to Japan Marcos F. Rodriguez Costa at the JCP head office in Tokyo.
Upon receiving congratulations from the ambassador on the success of the JCP 26th Congress and the new JCP leadership, Ogata expressed his appreciation and stated that the JCP is working hard to put the Congress resolution into practice.
The ambassador explained the just-closed 2nd Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), pointing to the importance of the proclamation of Latin America and Caribbean as “a zone of peace” based on the principle which excludes the use of armed force and promotes peaceful conflict resolution. He also stressed that Cuba by chairing the conference put a high priority on solidarity and cooperation despite diverse political regimes and ideologies existing within the region.
