Shii talks with EU ambassador to Japan
Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on March 5 had talks with Viorel Isticioaia-Budura, the ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union to Japan, at the JCP head office in Tokyo.
The ambassador offered to Shii his congratulations on the remarkable advance the JCP made in December’s general election.
Shii explained that the JCP seeks to create an economic society governed by rules.
Shii also expressed his hope to promote cooperation with the EU in order to urge the global community, including nuclear powers, to enter into negotiations on a nuclear weapons convention this year, the 70th year following the U.S. atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
