JCP int’l commission vice head meets with Nepalese President
Vice chair of the Japanese Communist Party International Commission Morihara Kimitoshi, who is also a member of the JCP Standing Executive Committee, on December 4 met with President of Republic Nepal Bidhya Devi Bhandari at the President’s Office in Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu.
Morihara offered the president his congratulations upon the establishment of the new constitution of Nepal in September and the inauguration of the new government. He also expressed his sympathy for victims of a massive earthquake that hit the nation in April 2015.
President Bhandari is the deputy leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) and the nation’s first female president.
Morihara visited Nepal after attending a conference of communist and labor parties in Asian countries which was held in India in late November.
