Shii on X condemns N. Korea’s launch of ‘military spy satellite’

Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on November 22 on his X account commented on North Korea’s launch of a rocket on the previous day which the nation claims is a “military surveillance satellite”.

Shii pointed out that the latest rocket launch by North Korea violates UN Security Council resolutions prohibiting launches using ballistic missile technology. He stated, “The JCP strongly criticizes North Korea’s behavior and demands that Pyongyang abide by UNSC resolutions.”

Furthermore, Shii stated, “The need now is for the Japanese government to make effective efforts to prevent North Korea’s escalating military provocations and resolve pending issues between the two countries through diplomacy. Establishing a diplomatic channel of communications with Pyongyang is an urgent task.”
