Kasai attends S. Africa’s ‘Freedom Day’ reception

Japanese Communist Party member of the House of Representatives Kasai Akira on April 24 attended a reception held in Tokyo to celebrate the South African “Freedom Day”.

Freedom Day is a national holiday in South Africa, commemorating the country’s first non-apartheid, democratic general election held in April 1994.

Kasai offered his congratulations to South African Ambassador to Japan Lulama Smuts Ngonyama. The JCP lawmaker recalled his visit to South Africa in 1994 in his conversation with the ambassador.
