Shii sends congratulatory message to new CPC leader

Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on November 16 sent a congratulatory message to newly-elected General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping.

Shii expressed his hope that the CPC will achieve great results under the new leadership in various areas in China amid various global challenges.

Shii also hoped that further development of the JCP-CPC friendship and cooperation will help resolve the pending issues lying between the two countries, improve Japan-China ties, develop friendship between the two peoples, and contribute to peace in Asia and the rest of the world.

Ogata meets with Armenian ambassador

JCP Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on November 16 met with Armenian Ambassador to Japan Grant R. Pogosyan at the JCP head office in Tokyo.

Ogata explained to the ambassador about the ongoing political situation in Japan and the recently-announced dissolution of the Lower House prior to a snap election. Pogosyan, the first Armenian ambassador to Japan, talked about Armenian history and conditions in present-day Armenia.

Ogata attends Omani reception

JCP Vice Chair Ogata on November 19 attended a reception to celebrate Oman’s National Day held in Tokyo. He offered his congratulations to Omani Ambassador to Japan Khalid Al-Muslahi and engaged in pleasant conversations with other guests.
