JCP vice chairs attend reception marking the founding of PRC
Japanese Communist Party vice chairs Ichida Tadayoshi, Ogata Yasuo, and Koike Akira on September 29 attended a reception held in Tokyo to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
The three extended their congratulations to Chinese Ambassador to Japan Cheng Yonghua and had friendly talks with other guests from inside and outside Japan.
Ogata talks with CPC International Department official
JCP Vice Chair Ogata on September 30 held talks with Zhao Shitong, Deputy Director-General of the No.2 Bureau of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, at the JCP head office in Tokyo.
Ogata explained to Zhao about Japan’s political situation following the ruling coalition’s forcible enactment of the war legislation as well as the JCP’s call for the establishment of a national coalition government to repeal the war laws.
Ogata talks with Mongolian ambassador to Japan
JCP Vice Chair Ogata visited the Mongolian Embassy in Tokyo on September 30 and met with Mongolian Ambassador to Japan Sodovjamts Khurelbaatar.
In the meeting, the ambassador talked about his country’s diplomatic activities over the past 20 years, referring to its series of proposals for peace and stability in Northeast Asia, including its declaration in 1992 of designating its territory as a nuclear-weapons-free zone.
Ogata shared his exchange of views with Mongolian lawmakers from governing and opposition parties at the eighth International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) which was held in Colombo in September 2014. He also outlined the JCP initiative for peace and cooperation in Northeast Asia.
