Japanese gov’t should take CEDAW observations and recommendations seriously

The CEDAW in its concluding observations recommended for the fourth time that Japan improve a wide range of areas, including legal reform regarding the choice of surnames for married couples as well as the early ratification of the Optional Protocol.
