Okinawa Police arrest two US Marines for drunk driving in 4-hour period

December 5, 2016
The Okinawa Police on December 4 arrested two U.S. Marines separately on suspicion of drunk driving.

At 1:00 a.m. on that day, Gunnery Sergeant Marco Julio Morales stationed at U.S. Marine Corps Camp Foster was arrested in Chatan Town. The police said that the 36-year-old Marine was driving under the influence of alcohol and that his breath test result exceeded the legal limit.

Four hours later, another U.S. soldier stationed at Camp Foster, Sergeant Orlando Pena, 26, was arrested in Okinawa City on the same charge. The alcohol level in his breath was three times higher than the legal limit, according to the police.
